Calaveras County selects new Probation Chief Sam Leach - Calaveras Enterprise

Calaveras County judges John Martin and Hugh Swift, along with the Board of Supervisors, selected Sam Leach as the new chief probation officer. Leach will begin in April with a full transition by June 2.
Leach has extensive experience in the field of probation. He comes to Calaveras County from Sutter County, where he has worked as a supervising probation Officer since 2005. He is originally from Riverside County, which is also where his career in probation began.
