Fostering Animals, a Labor of Love for Friends of the Animal Community

Friends of the Animal Community (F.O.A.C.)
Our Mission Statement:
Friends of the Animal Community (F.O.A.C.) is a non-profit, all volunteer organization dedicated to providing the medical and social needs of adoptable pets in Tuolumne and Calaveras Counties, bridging the path from homelessness to a loving forever home.
Our Scope of Operations:
·         We assist Tuolumne County Animal Control in placing adoptable pets that would otherwise be destroyed due to overcrowding and/or medical status of the animals.
·         We assist individuals and families within those communities to rehome their pets when family circumstances change and they can no longer care for their pets.
·         We work with homeless dogs and cats of all breeds, placing over 200 animals per year.
·         We provide medical care, foster homes, boarding when necessary, and placement screening for all animals in our care.
·         We use Petfinder.com, a national pet placement website to facilitate our adoptions.
To help as a volunteer, transport animals, foster a dog or a cat, or adopt a pet, contact Darlene Matthews, 768-3630.
