Copperopolis Town Square News

COPPEROPOLIS, Calif.) – Copperopolis Town Square – the events, shopping and entertainment gathering place in Calaveras County – will host the “Second Annual Art & Jazz on The Square” Saturday, June 23rd from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The event will include local foothill artists and live music in the gazebo by The Roger Garcia Trio, as well as Leroy and Jana. Town Hall Arts, a retail store located in Copperopolis Town Square, will host the event. The art center houses a gallery of local work, extensive art supplies and a classroom for art lessons. Recently, it expanded to include a unique frame shop with a computerized mat cutter and more than 500 frame corner choices.

"Art & Jazz on The Square was a huge hit last year and we welcome new and returning artists from the region to showcase their talents," said Larry Hoffman, owner of Town Hall Arts. “Our frame shop expansion is a vital complement to our art center and we are excited for local residents and guests to check it out.”

Copperopolis Town Square will also celebrate the grand opening of “Copper Cellars.” Owners Doug and Rebecca Halborson also own Sierra Cellars in nearby Twain Harte. Both locations offer boutique vineyard wines, tastings and special gifts.

“The addition of Copper Cellars is a perfect fit with our family of businesses at the Town Square,” says Linda Stefanick, Vice President and Event Director for Castle & Cooke Calaveras, Inc.

Situated in the rolling foothills of the Central Sierra in Calaveras County and only two hours from the Bay Area, Copperopolis offers visitors a variety of amenities and activities including boating on Lake Tulloch, championship golf, fine dining and lodging at the acclaimed Saddle Creek Resort.

Cost of exhibit space (approximately 10’ x 10’) for artists is $10, with all fees benefiting the Calaveras Art Council. To sign up, contact Town Hall Arts: townhallarts@caltel.com, www.townhallarts.com, 209.785.2050.
