ANGELS CAMP, CA (July 30, 2013)—The Calaveras Visitors Bureau
(CVB) has announced its 2013-14 board of directors, which includes a complete
switch-up among the executive board and the addition of several new leaders from
around the county.
The new elected members of the board
include Heather Ginn of Cave and Mine Adventures, Sid Marsh of the Ebbetts
Pass Visitors Center and Bears Lair
Inn, as well as Jan Hovey of Hovey Winery and Target Marketing who was also
appointed to the executive board as vice president.
Joining Hovey on the executive board
are Laurie Giannini of the Calaveras County Fairgrounds who will serve as
treasurer, Jeff Stai of Twisted Oak Winery who will take over as secretary, and
Stephen Kautz of Ironstone Vineyards who will return to his past role as
president of the CVB.
Other leaders who will remain on the
board for another term include Andres Catlla of Worldmark by Wyndham, Paul Mundy
of Mark Twain Medical Center Foundation and Buck Reed of Greenhorn Creek
Resort.
“It’s
always great to see the CVB board re-energized with fresh new perspectives from
respected leaders in our community and I expect our veteran board members will
bring a sense of balance and continuity,” said CVB’s outgoing president Steve
Markle of O.A.R.S. who will remain on the board as an ex-officio board
member. “Lisa and the CVB are extremely
fortunate to have past president Stephen Kautz back at the helm and I’m
confident the membership can expect increasingly good results from the CVB’s
continued marketing efforts.” of

Since promoting the area is the
CVB’s number one priority, the board of directors aims to elect individuals who
represent various regions of the county, multiple tourism sectors, and can bring
marketing savvy to the table.
Members of the CVB also had the opportunity to vote for the nominees.
