18 July 2013, at approx. 1:22 am, Officers
where conducting a patrol check of the Mountain Shadow Cemetery, located
at the intersection of Greenley Road and Lyons Street when they
observed a Chevy Trailblazer parked inside the cemetery. Inside the
vehicle were two male subjects.
The Officers contacted the subjects who were identified as
Russell Robinson, 49 of Delhi, and Steven Spearman, 58 of Turlock. A
records check showed that Robinson was on searchable felony probation
out of Stanislaus County for a drug violation.
A probation search was conducted of the vehicle, which resulted
in the discovery of heroin, a syringe loaded with heroin and an empty
syringe. Both Robinson and Spearman were arrested without incident and
transported to the Tuolumne County Jail and booked. At the jail, it was
discovered that Robinson also had hash in his possession which he had
failed to disclose to Officers before entering the jail.
Spearman was booked for felony possession of a controlled
narcotic and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. Robinson was
booked for felony possession of a controlled narcotic, felony possession
of concentrated cannabis (hash), felony brining a controlled substance
into a jail, felony violation of probation and misdemeanor possession of
drug paraphernalia.
