(San Andreas, CA) On 10/04/12 at 2310 hours Calaveras Sheriff’s
Deputies responded to a residence on the 300 block of Neilsen Street, in
San Andreas, for an unknown “shots fired” call reported by several
people. Deputies arrived minutes later and detained the suspected
shooter Kelly Linneman (35) of San Andreas, inside her bedroom. At the
time she was contacted she had a shotgun in her possession.
Deputies determined that Arrestee Linneman had attempted to shoot
her neighbor, John Ramirez (42) of San Andreas. Arrestee Linneman walked
to the victim’s residence and fired three shots from a shotgun at his
residence into an exterior wall. The victim’s bedroom was on the other
side of the wall. The Arrestee also fired one shot into a bedroom wall
while inside her own home. The victim, who was sleeping at the time of
the incident, was not injured. Victim Ramirez’s two juvenile children
wear also asleep inside the home at the time the shots were fired.
Victim Ramirez is reportedly an ex-boyfriend of Linneman. This incident
was possibly spurred on by some sort of relationship problems between
the arrestee and the victim. Sheriff’s Detectives interviewed Arrestee
Linneman. She stated that she was not trying to kill or injure the
victim. Arrestee Linneman was described as being “obviously intoxicated”
at the time of the incident and her arrest.
Arrestee Linneman was arrested and booked into the Calaveras County
jail for Attempted Murder, Criminal Threats, Discharge of a Firearm at
an Inhabited Dwelling, Endangering Health of a Child, and Domestic
Violence. She is being held at the Calaveras County Jail on $575,000
bail.
