The Giant Teddy Bear, Jugglers, Ballerinas and Clowns all
join Santa and Mrs. Claus for the 15th Annual Soroptimist Teddy Bear
Tea, Sunday, November 4th at Frogtown in Angels Camp! Special
prizes, crafts, face-painting, dancing and high tea will be enjoyed by all
during this unique “dress up” holiday affair! Limited seating is available by calling
736-1947 or by emailing barbchuck75@comcast.net. The cost for adults and children 10 and over
is $25.00 and for children 9 and under is $15.00. Reservations are necessary; tickets are not
sold at the door; deadline is October 27th.
The Teddy Bear Tea is monetarily sponsored in part by Roger
Wahlman DDS, Golden State Cellular and Main Street Technologies as well as the
VonLatta Family. Calaveras businesses
donating to the Tea Raffles include Chatom Vineyards, Ace Hardware Arnold,
Mother Lode Internet, Sidewinders, The Chocolate Lady, Firefall Jewelers,
Stories & Stones and Camps Restaurant. Any business or individual can
sponsor the Tea by calling 736-1947. Proceeds
benefit Soroptimist programs for women and girls throughout the mother lode
area.
New to the Teddy Bear Tea this year is a fabulous prize
donated by Hovey Winery & Shelly Smith owner of A Catered Affair which
includes wine and dinner for 6 at the Hovey Tasting Room in Murphys! Two large
cash prizes are also up for draw and the winner does not need to be present at
