Sonora PD press release re:Sexual Assault

24 September 2014, a fourteen year old female came to the police department with relatives to report a sexual assault, which had occurred on 21 September 2014.
The victim related she was at a residence on the 300 block of Barretta Street when the assault took place. At the residence were Stephanie Palmertree, 34 of Sonora; Rebecca Forbes, 23 of Soulsbyville; Chance Ditmars, 21 of Jamestown; and Adam Campo 24 of Modesto. All four adults gave the fourteen year old victim alcohol while she was at the residence.





The victim became intoxicated and while intoxicated Chance Ditmars sexually assault the victim 3-4 times during the night. The victim was able to identify Ditmars from a tattoo on his torso. The victim also related other people were having sexual intercourse in her presents.
On 30 September 2014, Forbes, Palmertree and Ditmars were arrested and booked at the Tuolumne County Jail.
• Forbes was booked for felony child endangerment.
• Palmertree was booked for felony child endangerment and felony failure to register as a sex offender.
• Ditmars was booked for felony intercourse with a minor under 16 years of age; felony rape of an intoxicated victim; felony oral copulation of a minor under 16 years of age; and felony child endangerment.
The report has been forwarded to the Tuolumne County District Attorney’s Office for review and the possible issuance of a complaint against Campo for felony child endangerment.
