Sheriff Dept press release re:San Andreas Mini Mart Burglars Arrested

(San Andreas, CA) On January 30, 2013 deputies from the Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office responded to the San Andreas Mini Mart for an activated alarm. Upon arrival they discovered that the store had been burglarized. Surveillance camera footage recorded two subjects forcibly entering the rear of the building. A large amount of tobacco products, alcoholic beverages, energy drinks and lighters were stolen during the crime.


On February 1, 2013, based on information developed during the investigation, Sheriff’s Detectives from the Calaveras Sheriff’s Office served a search warrant at a residence located on Toyanza Drive in San Andreas. During the search warrant two 16 year-old males were arrested for the burglary and for possession of stolen property. A partial amount of the property stolen from the store was recovered during the search warrant.

Both juveniles were transported to the Juvenile Probation Department and turned over to their custody.
