– George Runner today issued the following statement regarding his vote
against raising the state’s fuel tax rate by 3.5 cents per gallon,
effective July 1, 2013:
“I
cannot support a more than half a billion dollar tax increase on
struggling Californians who are already experiencing significant pain at
the pump.”
Elected
in November 2010, George Runner represents more than nine million
Californians as a member of the State Board of Equalization. For more
