Local Dentist to Volunteer at Veteran Stand-Down

Copperopolis dentist Dr. Peter Uyeyama will be volunteering at the Sonora Veteran Stand-Down this September 24, 2011.
With 27 years of dentistry behind him, along with a few years as a dental assistant in the US Army in ’70-’71, Peter is well equipped to deal with whatever dental care may come across his path at the Veteran Stand-Down.

Expecting mostly immediate dental care, such as: cavities, fillings, extractions, etc, due to the mobility of the event, Dr, Uyeyama is ready and looking forward to giving back to those who served our country. “We should look after our veterans” he said when asked why he volunteered.
Along with two other dentists on Saturday, Dr. Uyeyama hopes they are able to help as many veterans in need as possible.
Opening an office in Copperopolis 15 years ago, Peter developed and affinity for the people of Copper and chose to work only in Copper, selling his office in Modesto to his son almost one year ago. “I enjoy watching the children grow up.” He said of his clients that were once visiting children and are now adults, some with children of their own.

Dr. Uyeyama will bringing with him dental assistant Amy Russell, who is looking forward to helping.
