Dozens of people from all over the world became American citizens after taking their Oath of Allegiance in Yosemite National Park Friday afternoon.
Glacier Point was used as the backdrop for the ceremony.
The 32 people from countries like Fiji, Cambodia, Russia and England were all very excited.
"It's such a different life over here. Plenty of things to do. This is a 24 hour country. You go back to Europe, and it's open at 7 in the morning and closes at 6 at night. That's it in a nutshell. There's so much more to do. This country is so big. You can go anywhere you want," said Pete Best, a new American citizen from England.
Several folks told KMPH News they were excited to now be able to vote.
