Columbia Victorian Easter Egg Hunt

Easter Sunday, April 24:  Victorian Easter Parade and Egg Hunts in Columbia State Historic Park
Dress up in your Easter finery and be a part of Columbia's Victorian Easter Celebration!  Show off your fancy dresses and hats marching in the Easter Parade, a Victorian Era promenade on Main Street.  Prizes will be awarded.  Registration begins at 11 a.m. near the Fallon Hotel, and the parade gets underway at 12:30 p.m.
Children will enjoy Columbia's Easter Egg Hunts, searching in the grass for colorfully dyed eggs provided by the Columbia Candy Kitchen.  Bring your own basket.  The Small Fry Egg Search begins at 12 noon for ages 3 to 5.  After the Easter Parade, the Junior Egg Poachers (ages 6 to 8) will try their luck at 1 p.m., and finally the Great Egg Scramblers (ages 9 to 12) at 1:30 p.m.  Find the golden egg and receive a special prize!  And be on the lookout for Thaddeus E. Hare (aka the Easter Bunny) walking around town, handing out fresh carrots to the kids.
All events are free.  Sponsored by the Columbia Chamber of Commerce.  For more information, call 536-1672 or visit http://www.columbiacalifornia.com/.
