Salt Springs Valley Reservoir Fishing Report

The bite is on for Large Mouth, using a variety of baits, swim baits, chatter baits, senko's and brush hogs and rattle traps. In the shallows where the water temp is above 60 degrees.
The weather front that came in at the latter part of the week did bring some showers and wind but died down Sat afternoon making for the remainder of the weekend great fishing.
This week I wanted to capture the young anglers, on Saturday Tucker Tarap fishing with his father Dustin caught a couple 3 pound large mouth using a Aaron Magic Rubber Worm.  Dad Dustin was using Shad color rattle traps and caught up to 4 pounds.  On Sunday Landon Peterson, age 2 1/2 from Galt fished with his Grandpa Steve Edwards young Landon caught his 1st keeper a pound and half large mouth. Steve catching a 6 pound bass.
A few Crappie were caught using red with white tail 1/32 mini jigs.  No reports on Florida Blue Gil,  Red Ear Perch or Catfish.
