On 2-1-12 at approx 1400 hrs Cal Cny Sheriff Deputies received a call from school officials regarding a possible gunshot that was heard outside the school, reporting a suspicious male outside the school holding an unknown object under his coat. School officials did not know if the 'gunshot' was related to the suspicious male. Plain clothes and uniformed deputies responded, locked down the school, interveiwed witnesses and searched the premises and surrounding area.
The 'gunshot' was a car that had backfired. The car and driver were located and the backfire information was verified by witnesses.
The suspicious male was just a citizen walking around the area.
Lockdown was cleared at 1420 hrs.
