Spellman Post Questioned

District 5 Supervisor Darren Spellman submitted a letter to many media outlets over the weekend alleging political corruption. The Copper Gazette posted the letter on 5-8-11, but was unable to access the links provided by Mr. Spellman supporting his accusations. Upon further contact with Mr. Spellman he stated that he felt "the county had disabled" the links. Without supporting evidence to the allegations, and no name attached to the allegations, rumors can be formulated and misconstrued as truth. With this in mind, the Copper Gazette has chosen to remove the post from May 8, 2011 titled "Letter to the Editor Alleging Political Corruption from Supervisor Darren Spellman."
If you would like the article in full you can contact Mr. Spellman at dspellman@co.calaveras.ca.us.

If a time comes when the links are functioning and all supporting data for the alleged allegations is accessible to the public, the Copper Gazette will consider re-posting the letter from Mr. Spellman.
