Onsite Electronics Recycling and the Calaveras High School Earth Club will sponsor an electronic waste collection event in San Andreas on April 16 to celebrate Earth Week at Calaveras High School. This event will provide residents and businesses an opportunity to recycle e-waste, free of charge.
Electronic devices contain hazardous constituents, including highly toxic heavy metals like lead and mercury, which can threaten human health and the environment when improperly disposed. Recycling electronic waste recovers valuable materials from the circuit boards, metal wiring, leaded glass, and plastics, and is required by law in California to keep toxic materials from contaminating the environment.
All materials are processed locally in Stockton. Onsite Electronics recycling ensures all unwanted electronics are recycled responsibly and in full compliance with local, State and Federal regulations. Onsite provides for the complete recycling of all electronics; they do not re-sell any electronic devices or ship any whole units out of state or overseas. Once fully dismantled, all components are shipped for recycling.
