New Shop 'Flourish' opens its doors in town square

Sharon McCormick proudly opened the doors to her new clothing and accessory shop aptly named 'Flourish' in Town Square on April 17, 2013 with what she had hoped would be a soft opening. Well, news spread like wildfire and Sharon was pleasantly busy for her first day. With business being swift since opening Sharon is more than ready for her Grand Opening slated for May 4, 2013 during the Copper Car Show in Town Square.

Sharon loves the fashion business as it allows her to "be creative with fashion-women are like a butterfly in a cocoon and we need to break out of the cocoon and show what beautiful women we really can be."

Town Square goes PINK

October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. NBCAM is celebrating its 27th year dedicated to educating and empowering women to take charge of their own breast health by practicing regular self-breast exams to identify any changes, scheduling regular visits and annual mammograms with their healthcare provider, adhering to prescribed treatment, and knowing the facts about recurrence.

Town Square has shown its support of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month by decorating multiple windows between Once Upon a Time and Fancy Pans with something pink from each business in Town Square. While coming up with something pink for each business was a duanting task, window designer Linda Stefanick pulled some rabbits out of her creative hat and designed a window full of pink fun.

Joni Morris September concert at Town Square - a fun music filled evening

When Joni Morris took the stage Saturday September 10, 2011 at the 2nd concert in Town Square's September concert series line-up, with her pink cowboy hat and her well loved cowboy boots, it was clear she was in Copperopolis to have a good time... and a good time was had by all.

Touted as the new 'Patsy Cline' must be a heavy burden to carry, yet Joni hit each, note, each word, and each nuance with amazing perfection and ease.

Mixing it up with a little Johnny Cash and a little Elvis had folks dancing, chatting and just having a great evening.

In her last set Joni invited ALL firefighters, first responders and veterans to please join her at the stage to honor them for their service and devotion to country. The crowd, proud of their hometown heroes, all stood, applauded and sang "God bless America."

The sunset was phenomenal, adding to the beauty of the evening, and the moon did not disappoint either.
What an amazing setting for an outdoor concert.

“Morris Has Cline Down Pat” said the newspaper headlines from the San Francisco Examiner of Joni’s most recent performance there.  And the San Francisco chronicle's Date Book section reads “It’s Patsy All Over Again” of her re-creation of the country and western legend, Patsy Cline, at the bay area’s Alcazar Theatre.
