New Deputy K9 Buster Sworn in at annual Friends of the Calaveras Sheriff Office luncheon

On November 12, 2014 the Friends of the Calaveras Sheriff Office (FOCSO) held their annual luncheon to thank their sponsors and to meet their newest deputy....Deputy Buster.

Buster was sworn in by Sheriff Gary Kuntz and received his new badge.

Buster, and the whole K-9 program, is sponsored by the FOCSO. From his collar to his specialized car, he is one pampered pup.

At 3 years old Buster has been actively working for the past 6 months and has participated in over 20 drug busts.

FOCSO also supplies the department with equipment and supplies that are simply not in the budget but at times necessary.

Captain Macedo took a moment to thank the supporters, "Though we only get to recognize FOCSO once a year, as equipment purchased by you arrives (at the Dept) we thank you often. Some of this equipment makes a genuine impact...invaluable tools...we sincerely appreciate it."

"The mission of the Friends of the Calaveras Sheriff’s Office (FOCSO) is to support the Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office by providing funds for programs, projects and equipment through events, fundraising, membership, networking and donations from both the public and private sector."

The generosity of FOCSO allows our law enforcement to be more efficient and our communities to be safer. Please join those who support our law enforcement community and consider donating to FOCSO.
