'Unsettled weather' special alert from National Weather Service

...UNSETTLED WEATHER POSSIBLE THIS WEEKEND...

AFTER A COUPLE OF WEEKS OF FAIR WEATHER ACROSS INTERIOR NORTHERN
CALIFORNIA...A TROUGH OF LOW PRESSURE IS EXPECTED TO MOVE ACROSS
THE REGION SATURDAY NIGHT AND SUNDAY. THIS IS A RELATIVELY WEAK
SYSTEM WHEN COMPARED TO THE LAST SEVERAL STORM SYSTEMS THAT
IMPACTED THE AREA. HOWEVER...IT IS STILL LIKELY TO BRING LIGHT TO
MODERATE RAIN ACROSS THE VALLEY AND ACCUMULATING SNOW TO THE
MOUNTAINS.

ALL TOLD...UP TO HALF AN INCH OF RAIN WILL BE POSSIBLE ACROSS THE
CENTRAL VALLEY SATURDAY NIGHT INTO SUNDAY. ACROSS THE
MOUNTAINS...UP TO 4 INCHES OF SNOW ACCUMULATION WILL BE POSSIBLE.
SNOW LEVELS ARE EXPECTED TO BE IN THE 3000 TO 4000 FOOT
RANGE...THOUGH MAY BE LOCALLY LOWER OVER SHASTA COUNTY.

PERSONS TRAVELING INTO THE MOUNTAINS THIS WEEKEND MAY ENCOUNTER
TRAVEL DELAYS AND CHAIN REQUIREMENTS...ESPECIALLY SATURDAY NIGHT
THROUGH SUNDAY. CHECK THE LATEST ROAD AND WEATHER CONDITIONS
PRIOR TO DEPARTURE.
