Date of Press Release: 01/18/13

Today at approx. 11:15 a.m. Tuolumne Narcotics Team members Craig Davis and Eric Erhardt arrived at 6911 Obyrnes Ferry Rd, formerly Blue Dolphin Enterprises, to do a business check. As they approached the front of the building they heard what sounded like hand saws being used inside. From the porch they could see a man through a window who appeared to be sawing something. They called out to him and identified themselves as law enforcement and asked him to come to the porch.

 McIntyre, Joseph
Tuck

The man gave a hand signal implying they should wait a minute, then promptly disappeared from view. Shortly after that a car with three men in it drove from behind the building end left heading toward Copperopolis. Davis and Erhardt followed onto Obyrnes Ferry Rd but found the suspects had turned around and headed back to Hwy 108. They initiated a traffic stop in front of Table Mountain Storage and took the suspects into custody. The trunk of the car turned out to be full of copper wiring and other copper materials stripped from the building, causing over $100,000 in damage. The suspects would have sold the metals at a recycling center for cash. 45 year old Joseph Mcintyre and 51 year old Sean Mcintyre both from Jamestown, and 43 year old Johnny Tuck of Columbia were booked  at County Jail on Burglary and Felony Vandalism charges.
