.NOW... AN AREA OF DEVELOPING SHOWERS HAS FORMED OVER THE SIERRA AND THE MOTHERLODE EXTENDING FROM AROUND DOWNIEVILLE TO YOSEMITE NATIONAL PARK. THE STORMS ARE MOVING TO THE SOUTHEAST AT 22 MPH. AT 315 PM...THE MAIN AREA OF STORMS WAS LOCATED IN AMADOR...CALAVERAS AND TUOLUMNE. THE STRONGEST CELLS WERE BETWEEN MURPHYS AND SONORA. WEATEHR SPOTTERS HAVE REPORTED SMALL HAIL WITH EARLIER STORMS AND THIS EXPECTED TO BE THE MAIN THREAT. OCCASIONAL CLOUD TO GROUND LIGHTNING IS ALSO POSSIBLE WITH THESE STORMS. SNOW SHOWERS ARE POSSIBLE ABOVE 2000 FEET. MOTORISTS ARE URGED TO USE CAUTION WITH SLIPPERY ROADS FROM HAIL AND RAIN AND FROM SNOW IN THE MOUNTAINS AND THE HIGHER FOOTHILLS.
