Foothills to receive possible 1-2 inches rain - National Weather Service

MOUNTAINS AND FOOTHILLS: 1-2 INCHES EXCEPT 2-3
  INCHES IN SHASTA COUNTY AND THE FEATHER RIVER BASIN.

* SNOW LEVELS: MOSTLY ABOVE 9000 FEET THROUGH THE EVENT.

* IMPACTS: ACCUMULATING SNOWFALL LIMITED TO THE HIGHEST ELEVATIONS
  OF MT LASSEN AND THE NORTHERN SIERRA NEVADA. INCREASED RUNOFF
  INTO SMALL RIVERS AND STREAMS LEADING TO HIGHER FLOWS.
 
ADDITIONAL PRECIPITATION WILL SPREAD ACROSS NORTHERN CALIFORNIA
TODAY AND WEDNESDAY AS ANOTHER WEATHER SYSTEM AFFECTS THE REGION.
SOME HEALTHY RAINFALL AMOUNTS WILL ONCE AGAIN BE POSSIBLE ACROSS
THE NORTHERN MOUNTAINS AND FAR NORTHERN SACRAMENTO VALLEY...BUT
THEY WILL BE A SMALL FRACTION COMPARED TO WHAT FELL OVER THE
WEEKEND. ADDITIONALLY...WINDS WILL ALSO BE MUCH LIGHTER WITH THIS
SYSTEM THAN OVER THE WEEKEND.
