Spellman Responds to Recall

In a certified letter sent  August 15, 2011 to Michael McDaniel, Supervisor Darren Spellman responded to the formal recall filing. A copy was also delivered to the County Office of Elections

"The perpetrator of this attempted recall, Mr. McDaniel, is on a personal political vendetta, having failed to be elected as Supervisor himself, to remove your new representative that was elected, by an overwhelming majority, to fight for your rights."

"The perpetrator of this attempted recall, Mr. McDaniel, is on a personal political vendetta, having failed to be elected as Supervisor himself, to remove your new representative that was elected, by an overwhelming majority, to fight for your rights.

All signatures initially collected to form the recall committee are members of the previous Supervisor's election group including the previous Supervisor's wife. This is nothing more than sour grapes by a group of people not willing to accept the person you elected in last November's legitimate election.

During these difficult times I continue to relentlessly pursue solutions to help our community and local economy. Whenever corrections need to happen, there will always be opposition from those who already control power, to resist and if necessary attack those who want to make a positive difference.

Being a true leader means encountering harsh criticism and character attacks. Though it pains me to endure these false accusation, I will never sway from the mission you elected me to do, with God as my witness.

Always in your service,
Darren Spellman
