At Thursday’s forum meeting at Snaps in Town Square with Supervisor Spellman his first order of business was to let the community know that he will be holding a Town Hall meeting on April 28 at Blackcreek Park from 7 to 9 pm. All are welcome to come ask questions, seek answers, and/or listen to his update.
For the next two consecutive forum meetings Spellman will not be able to attend.
On 4-7-11 he will be representing District 5 and Calaveras County along with Supervisor Tofanelli at a meeting in Sacramento with FEMA reps, along with Dan Lungren, Kristen Olsen and others. For more information on that meeting click here.
On 4-14-11 Spellman will be attending the third in a three part series of workshops designed for new Supervisors, a “new Supervisors training.”
Spellman told of a taxpayer’s rally that is to occur on April 17th, clarifying that he was told it was not a tea bagger event or affiliated with any party. (Note: the taxpayer’s event is organized by Cory Burnell, The Keynote Speakers: Congressman Tom McClintock, other scheduled speakers: Ted Gaines, State Senator Kristin Olsen, Assemblywoman Ginny Rapini, NorCal Tea Party Patriots Coordinator.) The event will be held at 2:00 pm at the Veterans Memorial Softball Fields in Valley Springs.
When asked his party affiliation Spellman stated, “Power to the people….I am a Constitutionalist.” Going on further to say that a representative of any party affiliation is “only as good as his actions.”
