Copper Kids Spell Well at the Annual Calaveras County Spelling Bee

At the annual Calaveras County Spelling Bee Copperopolis was well represented with bright kids ready and able to strut their stuff.

The following representatives from Copperopolis were:

6th grade: Lourraine Estacio and Sidney Clark.

7^th grade: Rose Wine, Hunter Moore, and Jordan Strauch.

8^th grade: Trica Welch and Phebe Auger.

9^th grade: Serina Evitt.

Jordan Strauch placed 2^nd out of all 7^th graders competing.

Serina Evitt took home a 3^rd place.

Congratulations Copper Kids!!! Well done!!

The participating schools were Avery Middle School, Bret Harte, Calaveras High, Christian Family Learning Center, Copperopolis Elementary, Jenny Lind Elementary, Mark Twain Elementary, Moke Hill Elementary, Mountain Oaks, Railroad Flat Elementary, San Andreas Elementary, Toyon Middle School, and Valley Spring Elementary.
