...MORE SNOW WITH GUSTY WINDS TODAY...
.A STRONG STORM SYSTEM WILL BRING HEAVY RAIN AND STRONG WINDS TO
VALLEY LOCATIONS TODAY. NEAR WHITE OUT CONDITIONS WITH HEAVY SNOW AND
BLOWING SNOW IS EXPECTED THROUGH OUT THE HIGH COUNTY TODAY INTO
TONIGHT. TRAVEL WILL BE VERY DIFFICULT TODAY
High Wind Warning:
THE HIGH WIND WARNING IS NOW IN EFFECT FROM 7 AM THIS MORNING TO
5 PM PDT THIS AFTERNOON.
* WINDS: SOUTHEAST TO SOUTH WINDS OF 20 TO 40 MPH WITH GUSTS 45
TO 55 MPH. LOCAL GUSTS UP TO 70 MPH.
* TIMING: THE STRONGEST WINDS ARE EXPECTED IN MID TO LATE MORNING
HOURS THROUGH EARLY AFTERNOON. THE WINDS WILL DECREASE IN THE
LATE AFTERNOON.

* URBAN AND SMALL STREAM FLOOD ADVISORY FOR
THE SACRAMENTO VALLEY
THE NORTHERN SAN JOAQUIN VALLEY
THE DELTA REGION
THE SIERRA FOOTHILLS
* UNTIL 745 AM PDT FRIDAY
* RAIN WILL INCREASE IN INTENSITY ACROSS THE AREA TODAY AND BE HEAVY
AT TIMES. THE HEAVIEST RAINFALL IS EXPECTED THURSDAY AFTERNOON.
THIS MAY CAUSE FLOODING OF LOCAL STREAMS AND CREEKS.
* LOCAL STREAMS AND CREEKS ARE EXPECTED TO RESPOND QUICKLY TO THE
RAINFALL WITH RAPID RISES. EXPECT SIMILAR RISES TO THOSE SEEN LAST
WEEKEND. IN ADDITION...NUISANCE TYPE FLOODING OF
UNDERPASSES...ROADWAYS AND OTHER LOW LYING AREAS IS EXPECTED.
* THE HEAVIEST RAINFALL IS EXPECTED TO END THURSDAY EVENING...BUT
SMALL STREAMS AND RIVERS WILL CONTINUE TO RISE THROUGH FRIDAY
MORNING.

...THUNDERSTORMS EXPECTED ONCE AGAIN LATE THIS AFTERNOON AND
EVENING FOR THE CENTRAL VALLEY AND SURROUNDING AREAS...
AFTER THE MAIN BAND OF RAIN MOVES THROUGH THIS MORNING AND
AFTERNOON THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED TO DEVELOP AGAIN LATE
THIS AFTERNOON AND EVENING.
THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE POSSIBLE THROUGHOUT THE CENTRAL VALLEY AND
DELTA WITH THE GREATEST THREAT OVER THE SACRAMENTO VALLEY. MORE
FUNNEL CLOUDS WILL BE POSSIBLE ALONG WITH WEAK TORNADOES.

LEVELS INTO THE FOOTHILLS...AFTERNOON AND EVENING THUNDERSTORMS
AND THE POTENTIAL FOR FLOODING.
