.THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN SACRAMENTO HAS ISSUED A HIGH WIND
WARNING FOR THE CENTRAL AND SOUTHERN SACRAMENTO VALLEY...CARQUINEZ
STRAIT AND DELTA...NORTHERN SAN JOAQUIN VALLEY AND MOTHERLODE...
WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 11 PM THIS EVENING TO 11 AM PDT SUNDAY.
THE HIGH WIND WATCH HAS BEEN CANCELLED.

* WINDS: SOUTHEAST WINDS 20 TO 30 MPH WITH GUSTS TO AROUND 40 MPH
  THIS EVENING...INCREASING TO 30 TO 40 MPH WITH GUSTS TO 60 MPH
  OR HIGHER AFTER MIDNIGHT.

* TIMING: WINDS INCREASING THIS EVENING WITH STRONGEST WINDS AFTER
  MIDNIGHT. WINDS DECREASING BY SUNDAY AFTERNOON.

* LOCATIONS INCLUDE: CHICO...YUBA CITY...SACRAMENTO...VACAVILLE...
  FAIRFIELD...STOCKTON...MODESTO...GRASS VALLEY...PLACERVILLE

* IMPACTS: DOWNED TREES AND LIMBS...WIDESPREAD POWER OUTAGES...
  HAZARDOUS TRAVEL CONDITIONS ESPECIALLY FOR SMALL CARS AND HIGH
  PROFILE VEHICLES. LOOSE OBJECTS SHOULD BE TIED DOWN OR BROUGHT
  INSIDE.

A HIGH WIND WARNING MEANS A HAZARDOUS HIGH WIND EVENT IS EXPECTED
OR OCCURRING. SUSTAINED WIND SPEEDS OF AT LEAST 40 MPH OR GUSTS OF
58 MPH OR MORE CAN LEAD TO PROPERTY DAMAGE.
