New Melones Fishing Report

Trout:   Pretty good for trollers and those still-fishing from their boats.  Creek arms have been good, and upriver has been producing limits as well.  Jim Justice of Murphys and Darwin Parrish of Arnold continue to catch limits of rainbows, trolling crawlers behind big cowbell flashers 25 feet deep.  Many bass anglers are catching rainbows while drop-shotting small worms.  Bank anglers will have best luck under the Hwy 49 Stevenot Bridge, or the south side of the lake, where water is running into the lake.  Glory Hole Sports employee Gary Powell has been having good luck bank-fishing the south ...
