Teamster Horsemen ride through town raising funds for cancer survivors

On June 2, 2013 the Teamster Horseman Chapter 7 rode through Copperopolis with a stop at Micki and Larrys Sports Pub.

The ride was to 'Celebrate life on National Cancer Survivor Day.' Said Spokesman Roger Olivas, aka JR.

The Horsemen group, formed in August 2012, raises funds for charities within the valley and surrounding areas. Olivas stated that last year they raised enough funds at a dinner to grant each wish on a foster child's wish list to Santa and have some left over for the Foster Care system.

The June 2, 2013 run, with over 50 riders, was to raise funds for The American Cancer Society and Cancer Survivors.

Combat Veteran Motorcycle run through Copper

The Combat Veteran Motorcycle Association (CVMA),a non-profit Association of Combat Veterans from all branches of the United States Armed Forces who ride motorcycles as a hobby, will be stopping by the Sports Pub on Sunday at approximately noon for a bite to eat and to show their support for Copperopolis's newly formed VFW Post 12118.

The CVMA mission is 'to support and defend those who have defended our country and our freedoms. Our focus is to help veteran care facilities provide a warm meal, clothing, shelter, and guidance, or simply to say "Thank You." and "Welcome Home."'
