In April, Micki and Larry's Sports Pub held a murder mystery dinner to help raise funds for Copperopolis Elementary 6th grade science.
On May 19, 2014 a check for $465.00 was presented to Principal Karen Vail from Sports Pub bartender Ron Wilhite.
As the cost of science camp rises each year it becomes more difficult for the schools to raise funds for the whole classroom.
"This will help offset the cost of more than three students." Said Vail.

Copper Holdings Company Band rocked Copper once again

Hypnotist Ron Stubbs
Hypnotist Ron Stubbs descended on Copper Friday, 11-22-13, night with a flurry of action. Coming all the way from Washington and performing the night before at Black Oak Casino Ron was more than ready to take on our little town of Copper and he quickly found some willing participants.
After some suggestive workings three of the seven volunteers were under rather quickly. Within a few minutes Ron had the volunteers dancing like ballerinas, believing he himself was the handsome Brad Pit and a couple dancing with a microphone with a wig. The microphone played a major role with one volunteer as Ron explained to him that the microphone was the most beautiful women he had ever seen, causing the volunteer to show his best moves for wooing a woman.
The show was opened by Copper's own comedian Julia Fretwell and was brought to the Sports Pub by Del T. of Class Act Comedy.

Tony Howie rocked the Sports Pub
Once again Tony Howie took to the stage at the Sports Pub on Friday October 11, 2013 and wowwed the crowd.
His music is an eclectic collection of genres, from rock to blues, with some moving original pieces scattered throughout.
Harking from Belfast Tony's thick brogue instantly vanishes when the words are sung, creating a beautifully rich sound adding a different dimension to songs we know and love.

Teamster Horsemen ride through town raising funds for cancer survivors
On June 2, 2013 the Teamster Horseman Chapter 7 rode through Copperopolis with a stop at Micki and Larrys Sports Pub.
The ride was to 'Celebrate life on National Cancer Survivor Day.' Said Spokesman Roger Olivas, aka JR.
The Horsemen group, formed in August 2012, raises funds for charities within the valley and surrounding areas. Olivas stated that last year they raised enough funds at a dinner to grant each wish on a foster child's wish list to Santa and have some left over for the Foster Care system.
The June 2, 2013 run, with over 50 riders, was to raise funds for The American Cancer Society and Cancer Survivors.
If you would like more information about the Teamster Horsemen contact Teamsters Local 439 at 1531 E Fremont Street Stockton, CA 95205

Halloween Bash at the Sports Pub - a ghoulishly good time for all
On October 27, 2012 Micki and Larry's Sports Pub held their 15th annual Halloween party complete with live music by Copper Holding Company.
The music began at 9 and continued past 1, with an official door closing at 2 am. Costumes ranged from pirates to a sack of potatoes (which was pointed out was responsible for the lives of the pirates as without the potatoes they all would have gotten scurvy), there was an ingenious plug and receptacle pair (male and female) and a Freudian slip (which had to be explained a few times), there were ghouls, angels, Flo and Mayhem, girl scouts and more.
If you missed this event....the Sports Pub Rockin' New Year party is just around the corner...get your dancing shoes out!
