Copper Cub Scouts pack shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child
At the last Pack 347 Cub Scout meeting the scouts took their community service commitment to reach far beyond the borders of our little town by packing shoeboxes full of Christmas cheer for Operation Christmas Child.
Cub Scouts begins for boys entering the 1st grade. The boys meet once a week in their "den" which is a group of boys of the same age at a leader's home, and once a month at the "pack" meeting which is all the age groups together, and it is currently at Black Creek park.
The new Scout Master is Casey Bridwell, and some trained volunteer parents are "den leaders" for the individual dens.
For information of the new pack please call Heather Oliver at 785-6301 or at heatheronthemoor@yahoo.com.
The current dens are Tiger, Bear, Wolf, and Webelos. After Webelos, the boys will move on to the Boy Scouts.
