Re; Senior Awards at 211 Church St. It seems to me that having a “Senior of the Year” award ceremony at any church or temple implies the “state” is supportive of that particular religion. While I believe the ceremony is supportable, my personal beliefs would be disrespected by forcing me to pay and be present at a house that worships a deity, or promotes practices, that I don’t agree with.
