In November of 2011, under new management, the Giambi family, owners of the resort, were excited to present the Copperopolis community with a community oriented and family friendly resort. According to Bernadette Cattaneo, resort operator, the resort has maintained the "family oriented atmosphere but from time to time we have to broaden our horizons in order to pay the bills."
Cattaneo has not applied for a permit nor does she claim one is necessary. "I operate a resort with a bar (that has three separate liquor licenses) and a restaurant. The Spring Ride, Biker Bash, Bump Party are all part of my day to day operations. We have the zoning as well as all the proper County Business licenses and health permits. We have insurance and County services. We do not allow outside food vendors, public services and don't shut down any roads."
According to the Sheriff Department over the three day period of the 3rd annual Biker Bash held in 2011 there were 12 Sheriff Dept responses to the Resort area including boat patrol, alarm, traffic stops, and road hazards.
