Nicole Brousseau to perform at Town Square 10-15-11

Nicole Brousseau, a sophomore at Bret Harte HS, began her singing career at the young age of six when she sang “This Land is Your Land” at her school talent show. Having only sung for fun since then and in a few school talent shows, it was an honor to be chosen to sing the National Anthem at the Bret Harte Homecoming game this year and again at the Copperopolis Veterans picnic this fall. “Singing is a life to me, it’s like everything isn’t there and it’s just me in my head” said Nicole sounding like a true artist; one who becomes lost in their work.
With these two public performances under her belt and confidence way beyond her 15 years Nicole is ready to give it her all at the Town Square Scarecrow Auction on October 15, 2011. She is still determining whether she will accompany her singing with guitar (which she plays) or have her friend Michaela accompany her on the piano. Her concern is that she tends to be “a perfectionist, and I hate disappointing myself.”

Inspired by her Aunt Charity, Nicole finds that she is thinking more about career opportunities. Once the door was opened out of the box with the possibility of singing, the flood gates were thrown open and career choices abound. Currently Nicole would like to go into the cosmetology field, hopefully to become a make-up and hairstyle artist. She seems to be in high demand with friends and family for special events, she even did hair styles for a whole wedding party recently.
Nicole is looking forward to the opportunity to sing and perform for the Copperopolis Community.
Nicole will be one of the performers performing at the Town Square Scarecrow Auction SPaghetti Feed event 10-15-11 from 5-8 pm. For more information contact Linda at 209-785-9700.
