Fishing Report for Salt Springs Valley Reservoir for March 28-April 4th.
Ron McCarthy of Lodi was successful in catching 3 large mouth Bass ranging from 5 to 7 lbs on Sunday. Eve and Ralph Murphy caught a handful of Cappie up to 151/4 inches.
Large Mouth Bass are being caught in the shallows up to 7 pounds using a variety of baits, Rainbow Trout swim baits, bush hogs and pumpkin senko's. The water is clear and the temp 68 degrees. Huge Crappie are being caught using 1/32 jigs ranging from red/white to black and pink in 3-6 feet of water. Catfish are being caught in 12- 16 feet of water.
