SACRAMENTO – CAL FIRE has long had a world-wide reputation as a superior wildland firefighting and emergency response department. In order to learn about the successes of CAL FIRE and to exchange ideas, 37 firefighters from France are headed to northern California. The group from France’s Ecole Nationale Superiure des Officiers Sapeurs Pompiers (ENSOSP), which translates to “The National School of Superior Fire Officers”, will shadow CAL FIRE Incident Command Team 5 and meet with CAL FIRE personnel April 4 to 12.
