Tulloch Spring refill has begun

According to Susan Larson of Tri-Dam, "The testing of the spill gates at the dam has been completed, as has the maintenance work which entailed painting of the gates.  The reservoir is in the process of being brought back to the normal winter levels, as specified by the schedule established by the Bureau of Reclamation."

5 year Draw Down on Lake Tulloch

According to Tri Dam License Compliance Coordinator, Susan Larson, "Tri-Dam anticipates that the reservoir will be drawn down to the 5-year levels, so that the gates at the dam can be fully exercised (opened and closed) and inspected, as required."

This insepction process is something that needs to be accomplished at approximate five year intervals. The draw down is anticipated to occur in January/February. According to Susan "as soon as Tri-Dam receives the approved draw-down schedule from the Bureau of Reclamation, we are planning to send it out to as wide a notification list as possible."

The Copper Gazette will also notify residents of Copper as soon as notification is released.
