Employment Workshops for State Prison Staff Openings Planned

The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation forecasts 7,000 job openings created by upcoming retirements. To recruit candidates for Peace Officers, the CDCR has partnered with Mother Lode Job Training and the Employment Development Department to host a workshop on the hiring process for these positions.
The workshop will be held in Calaveras on Tuesday, July 15 in the Cheseborough Room at the Public Library located at 1299 Gold Hunter Road off of Mountain Ranch Road in San Andreas from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Space can be reserved by calling 754-4242.
The workshop will include an introduction to employment opportunities with the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, how to navigate the CDCR website and how to apply on-line. A representative from CDCR will be on hand to answer questions.
