On 06/28/2014 at approximately 8:00 PM, an Angels Camp Police Officer conducted a traffic stop on South Main Street near Stockton Road for equipment violations.
The
Officer identified the two occupants of the vehicle as 37 year old San
Andreas resident Joshua Jones, and 33 year old San Andreas resident
Sunshine Nordstrom.
An
Angels Camp Police Department K9 unit conducted a sniff of the exterior
of the vehicle and alerted to the presence of narcotics in the vehicle.
A subsequent search was made of the interior of the vehicle, and
Officers located a small amount of methamphetamine in a tampon
applicator.
Both Jones and Nordstrom were arrested for possession of a controlled substance and booked in to the Calaveras County Jail.
