Barbara
Boyd White and Pam Taylor were recently welcomed to the Calaveras Community
Foundation (CCF) Board of Directors.
Barbara
White, moving to Murphy’s from Petaluma three years ago, wanted to be involved
in her community and decided to join forces with other board members and to
make a difference. Her background in interior design, real estate marketing and
sales gives a fresh approach to the needs of CCF. The mother of two adult
children who are now in college, she is right at home in her job at the
Newsome-Harlow tasting room. Barb can often be seen walking the neighborhoods
of Murphys with her boxer, Sophie.
The
Taylor family has deep roots in Rail Road Flat and Calaveras County.
Pam
spent over 30 years in the travel industry in sales and operations in various
locations including Honolulu. Returning to her ancestral home nearly 10 years
ago, Pam now belongs to many groups and organizations including Friends of Rail
Road Flat School, the Calaveras County Historical Society, served as Past
President of Soroptimist International of Waikiki, and several homeowner
association boards. Today Pam is enjoying retirement in San Andreas with her
mother and life coach, Mary Taylor. Pam
has quickly acclimated herself as a CCF Board member by joining key committees.
Calaveras
Community Foundation is very proud of what has been accomplished since our
founding in 2000. More than $650,000 has
been distributed in scholarships, grants and assistance to help Calaveras
County students pursue their dreams and to support a wide range of projects
improving the quality of life throughout Calaveras County.
