Eleven local groups have been awarded a total of $21,843 in
the second round of 2012 funding by the Calaveras Community Foundation (CCF).
Grants to these community groups focused on special needs children, building
maintenance, scouts, youth mentoring, history in the county, communications and
feeding the hungry. Total competitive grants awarded in 2012 equaled
$47,642.00.
Linda Kangeter, CCF President, states: “The continued
generosity of our donors has enabled the Foundation to support worthwhile
projects throughout our County that can make a real difference in the lives of
our residents.”

The Foundation, with this last round of funding, has awarded more than

to touch more and more lives in this county through grants and scholarships. Partners include: Jackson Rancheria Casino
and Hotel, Umpqua Bank, Sierra Pacific Industries, Save Mart, Pacific Gas &
Electric Company and the Federlein Family Fund at the San Francisco Foundation.
Individuals and local businesses can establish funds or channel their charitable
