Copper Lions active in Literacy

According to Marilyn Richards and Kathy Copeland, The Copperopolis Lake Tulloch Lions are active participants in  The Lions Literacy Program and the Reading Action Program.  (RAP) 

To date the Lake Tulloch Lions Club has:
Read to children               
Tutored adults
Donated books
Participated in Summer programs and After school programs
                                  
What they hope to do in the future:
 Work with the local schools
 Explore literacy for the blind-I-phone has a braille app.
 Explore local communities needs and donate time and money.


They will soon be working with Pat Ross, Calaveras Literacy Co-ordinator, to find what is needed locally and how the Lions can help throughout the year.
