Died September 16, 2012 Serving During Operation Enduring Freedom


19, Claremore, Okla.; assigned to 1st Battalion, 23rd Infantry Regiment, 3rd Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 2nd Infantry Division, Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Wash.;died Sept. 16 in Zabul province, Afghanistan of injuries caused by enemy small-arms fire. Also killed were Army Sgt. Sapuro B. Nena, Army Spc. Joshua N. Nelson and Army Pfc. Genaro Bedoy.

20, of Amarillo, Texas;ssigned to 52nd Infantry Regiment, 3rd Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 2nd Infantry Division, Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Wash.; died Sept. 16 in Zabul province, Afghanistan of injuries caused by enemy small-arms fire. Also killed were Army Sgt. Sapuro B. Nena, Army Spc. Joshua N. Nelson and Army Pfc. Jon R. Townsend.

Also killed were Army Sgt. Sapuro B. Nena, Army Pfc. Genaro Bedoy and Army Pfc. Jon R. Townsend.

Died September 20, 2012 Serving During Operation Enduring Freedom


24, of Cabot, Ark.; assigned to 1st Battalion, 64th Armor Regiment, 2nd Heavy Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division, Fort Stewart, Ga.; died Sept. 20 in Panjway, Afghanistan, of injuries sustained when he was attacked by a rocket propelled grenade while on mounted patrol.
