Copper Cellars brings more than tasty wines to town

On Thursday August 30, 2012 the newly opened Copper Cellars in Town Square brought to town a unique brand of entertainment, actually titled edu-tainment.

Storyteller and history buff LindaTeighland Clark, dressed in Hardluck Lin character, visited Copper Cellars to enchant, entertain, and educate wine tasters on the struggles of the early pioneers to California. Pulling from stories that have been passed down from generation to generation through her husbands family - one of the original settlers in the area - Linda weaves a tale of hardship and the will to survive.

An author of "The Small Window" Linda also uses bits and pieces of her book when edu-taining the crowds. "When cholera decimates her family in August, 1948, Laurin struggles to complete the wagon trek into California and to find 'survival' for her younger siblings." So begins the journey.

Linda's book is available at Amazon.com. If you are interested in hosting Linda for an afternoon or evening of edu-tainment for your school or organization, please contact her at hardlucklin@mlode.com.
