CalFire press release re:Arson Arrest Made in Connection with Calaveras County Fires


SAN ANDREASCAL FIRE Law Enforcement Officers from the Tuolumne/Calaveras Unit in cooperation with the Calaveras County District Attorney’s office have arrested a fourth suspect in connection with allegedly starting several fires in the Angels Camp area of Calaveras County.

On Thursday, July 12, 2012, CAL FIRE Law Enforcement Officers arrested CodyJon Emanuel Anderson and charged him with two counts of arson, two counts of arson caused by the use of a device, manufacturing an incendiary device and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.  Anderson was booked into the Tuolumne County jail.  Anderson resides in Angels Camp, CA and was arrested without incident in Columbia, CA.  


The arrest was a result of an on-going investigation into several intentionally set (arson) fires that have occurred in the Angels Camp area of Calaveras County. On July 2, 2012 three juvenile suspects were arrested and charged with fourteen counts of arson and one count of recklessly causing a fire in relation to these fires.

Since this is an on-going criminal investigation additional details are not available at this time.
