19 Lightening Strike Fires in Amador county 90% contained

Amador Complex 19 lightning fires in El Dorado/Amador Co burned 54 acres & are 90% contained.




The Amador-El Dorado Unit of CAL FIRE experienced extreme lightning activity Sunday July 22, 2012 and Monday July 23, 2012. There were 1,848 lightning strikes that hit both El Dorado and Amador Counties.

Farnham Fire, Farnham Ridge Rd., Fiddletown (Amador County)
Iowa Fire, South of Slab Creek Res., Camino (El Dorado County)
Freshwater Fire, west of Painted Pony Road, Somerset (El Dorado County)
*3 fires totaling 7 acres and 100% contained.
Dove Fire, Timber Ridge/Tabeaud Rd. Jackson (Amador County)
Roades Fire, Farnham Ridge, Fiddletown (Amador County)
Scott Fire, Near Dew Drop Station, Pioneer (Amador County)
*3 fires totaling 5 acres and 100% contained

Electra Fire, Electra Rd., Jackson (Amador County) - 28 acres and 100% contained

Omo #1 Fire, Omo Ranch (Amador County)
Omo #2 Fire, Farnham Ridge, Fiddletown (Amador County)
Ridge Fire, Farnham Ridge, Fiddletown (Amador County)
