Sheriff Dept Press releases re:arrest embezzlement

(Angels Camp, CA) On March 8, 2012 Calaveras County Sheriff’s deputies and investigators arrested Heather Vannatta of Angels Camp on a recent arrest warrant. The arrest was made after several months of investigation by the Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office into her involvement in embezzling funds from the Copper Cove Homeowners Association. Ms. Vannatta is believed to have embezzled over ten thousand dollars during her employment as the office manager of the association during 2011. Ms. Vannatta was an employee of the association for a number of years. She posted bail after being booked into the Calaveras County Jail.
