Sonora PD press release re:High School Theft Suspect Arrested

During the investigation into the thefts from Sonora High School, an employee by the name of Jakob McMurray, 24 of Coulterville, was identified as the suspect. McMurray remained cooperative throughout the investigation.
The investigation was completed and the report was forwarded to the Tuolumne County Districts Attorney’s Office for review. The District Attorney’s Office filed a complaint with the Court. The Court issued a warrant for McMurray’s arrest charging him with felony grand theft. McMurray was contacted and he surrendered himself on the warrant and he was booked into the Tuolumne County Jail.
