The Calaveras Cancer Support Group is a gathering of kindred spirits all learning to live with and survive the diagnosis of Cancer. For many years, scientists, doctors, nurses, patients and volunteers have concentrated on the fight against cancer. Tremendous strides have been made in recent years due to modern medicine and advanced technology. In many cases, cancer can be cured or treated so that the person with cancer can lead a relatively normal, productive life. Any cancer patient will tell you that an important part of recovery is your mental outlook. Fear is a natural, expected reaction. Your grasp of the facts and the impact they will have on your future is the key to overcoming your fears and turning them into hope.
